The physical side of competition is only part of it. What goes on in my head before I step out there can make or break everything.
I spend time visualizing my performance, how I move, how I react, how I stay composed. It helps me feel like I’ve already been there before it actually happens.
There are always nerves, and I don’t think that ever fully goes away. But I’ve learned how to work with them instead of against them. Staying present, focusing on what I can control that’s what keeps me grounded when it matters most.
